Barbecue Wings – Air Fryer Method

  1. Bake the wings at 160°C for 10–12 minutes. During this stage the meat begins to firm up while the skin starts to render its fat without browning too quickly. You may notice the pieces turning slightly opaque and tightening around the bone — this is a sign that they are cooking evenly. Avoid overcrowding the basket, as it can cause steaming instead of crisping.
  2. Prepare the glaze by combining barbecue sauce with additional spices: chili pepper, extra black pepper, and dried garlic. This mixture creates a deeper, more intense flavor and slightly thicker coating that caramelizes beautifully in the final bake.
  3. Remove the wings from the air fryer and gently brush them with the barbecue glaze. Make sure each piece is nicely coated but not dripping, so the sauce can cling and caramelize instead of sliding off. Return the wings to the basket in a single layer.
